Why the U.N. AIDS program never seems to work

The Eugenic Problem

In his review of the ongoing AIDS epidemic in Africa, Stephen Lewis, the United Nations Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS and former Deputy Director of UNICEF, posed the following rhetorical question:

"We've lost hundreds of thousands of children, probably millions of children during the last decade...
How can it possibly be explained or justified?"

Come now, Mr. Lewis! It's hard to believe that a high-level U.N. official would even have to ask such a question.

First, this could be explained as the product of a covert but successful population reduction program -- a program which uses do-gooder organizations like UNICEF for political cover. The proponents of Darwinian eugenics programs, like the British Eugenics Society and the Club of Rome, have openly discussed such things for decades. [1] For instance, here's a quote from Prince Philip, founder of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), flagship of the modern "environmental" movement:

"Human population growth is probably the single most serious long-term threat to survival. We're in for a major disaster if it isn't curbed... We have no option. If it isn't controlled voluntarily, it will be controlled involuntarily by an increase in disease, starvation and war."

Second, this could be justified by the twisted logic of elitist eco-socialism, which says that such a "culling of the herd" is necessary and desirable, especially among inferior races. Again, from Prince Philip:

"The object of the WWF is to 'conserve' the system as a whole; not to prevent the killing of individual animals. Those who are concerned about the conservation of nature accept... that most species produce a surplus that is capable of being culled without in any way threatening the survival of the species as a whole."

That about sums it up, doesn't it?

At the 30th annual conference of the Global Health Council, Mr. Lewis said that Africa seems to be "under some kind of otherworldly curse". We note that Africans in particular are more susceptible to AIDS than other races -- almost as if someone had planned it that way.

"What is so intolerable about the continued funding crisis is not just the staggering loss of life, so much of it completely unnecessary, but what it says about us, the donor nations and our lamentable, incomprehensible behavior... We know what we are doing, but we do it anyway."

Just so! However, it isn't the "funding" or "climate change" or some other bugaboo that is the real source of the problem.

The alleged perpetrators of this genocide have the resources, the ideology and the track record of using "disease, starvation and war" to further their goals. This would explain why the AIDS epidemic has not been stopped after 25 years, despite untold billions of dollars spent on both medical research and the futile "humanitarian efforts" of the U.N.

Consider the words of humanist Sir Julian Huxley, vice-president of the British Eugenics Society, founding director of UNESCO, and co-founder of the WWF:

"The lowest strata... allegedly less well endowed genetically... must not have too easy access to relief or hospital treatment lest the removal of the last check on natural selection should make it too easy for children to be produced or to survive..."

I'm sorry to say it Mr. Lewis, but it looks as though you've been sent on a fool's errand!

Reality Check

A little research reveals that the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), of which Stephen Lewis is a director, was launched by none other than the Rockefeller Foundation and heavily funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which has provided over $150 million dollars so far [2].

Both Stephen Lewis and Seth Berkley, the President of IAVI, are on the faculty of Columbia University in Manhattan, which is closely associated with nearby Rockefeller University. Joint programs include the "Center for Sustainable Development" at Columbia's Earth Institute, headed by Jeffrey Sachs, who also directed the recent Millennium Project on sustainable development for the United Nations Development Program.

The Manhattan headquarters of the U.N. sits on land donated by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., whose son John D. Rockefeller III was the founder of the Population Council along with eugenicist Frederick Osborn, the Secretary of the American Eugenics Society for over 40 years. Osborn wrote:

"People simply are not willing to accept the idea that the genetic base on which their character was formed is inferior and should not be repeated in the next generation."

Obviously this dictum didn't apply to Steven Rockefeller, who succeeded his uncle as chairman of the multi-billion dollar Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and who recently produced the Earth Charter, a blueprint for global "sustainable development" -- under elite control. Other directors of IAVI come from the World Bank, Goldman Sachs bank, and the Aventis pharmaceutical corporation. Aventis is a direct descendant of the infamous I.G. Farben chemical cartel of Germany, which supported the eugenics policies of Adolf Hitler's National Socialist regime during the 1930s and 40s.

Rockefeller's Standard Oil was a business partner of I.G. Farben during that period, and is the original source of the money for the Rockefeller Foundation and the projects they support, including the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, now Rockefeller University, which has been involved with eugenics programs since its inception. [3]

One observer notes that "another way in which the eugenic program may be implemented using the fight against AIDS as a pretext is through exploiting, toward eugenic ends, any progress made in attempts to cure AIDS through genetic engineering." [4] Dr. Paul Bieniasz, head of the Laboratory of Retrovirology at Rockefeller University and the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, has recently "synthesized the whole viral genome from scratch" based on various DNA sequences. This new man-made virus is "a retrovirus that [is] capable of creating new viral particles and integrating itself into a host cell's genome". [5]

Perhaps all of these organizations, and their elitist backers, really do want to "help the poor and downtrodden" of the world, as Mr. Lewis, Mr. Sachs and others like them would have us believe. Just as a rancher "helps" his cattle, by managing the herd for his own economic benefit while making sure that his pasture is not overgrazed.
