"Barcelona is a dry city...The Catalan capital's weather can change from one day to the next, but its climate, like that of the whole Mediterranean region, is inexorably warming up and drying out... This iconic, avant-garde city is in the grip of the worst drought since records began and is bringing the climate crisis that has blighted cities in Australia and throughout the Third World to Europe." -- Independent UK
Note the photograph featured in this article, which shows the ostentatious "Sagrada Familia" Catholic cathedral, surrounded by several construction cranes and facing a dried out reflecting pond. Anyone who is familiar with the Bible might take this as an ominous sign from heaven. Certainly far more significant than an image of Mary in the sky somewhere.
