"Barack Obama's apartment in the White house was hit by at least one bullet that cracked a window, US Secret Service has said...[although] the President was in California at the time of the shooting... Police on Wednesday night arrested a 21-year-old Hispanic man in Pennsylvania in connection with the shooting. Oscar Ortega Hernandez...[has] several distinguishing tattoos including...the word 'Israel' tattooed on his neck."

What are the odds that a "drive by shooter" would just happen to hit the President's apartment window?

The suspect is a violent latino felon with a "lengthy criminal record" from Idaho Falls, Idaho whose family members reported him as missing at the end of October. He recorded a rambling, self-promotional video shortly before his trip in which he claims to be "the modern-day Jesus Christ", but the tattoos suggest otherwise.

Idaho Falls (pop 55,000) is also the home of the DOE Idaho National Lab (INL), a nuclear power research facility:

"INL was established in 1949 as the National Reactor Testing Station, and for many years was the site of the largest concentration of nuclear reactors in the world. Fifty-two nuclear reactors were built, including the U.S. Navy's first prototype nuclear propulsion plant... DOE owns or leases laboratories and administrative offices in the city of Idaho Falls, some 25 miles east of the INL Site border. About 30 percent of INL's employees work in administrative, scientific support and non-nuclear laboratory programs and have offices in Idaho Falls."

Coincidentally, on 28-Oct there was a "homeland security" drill in the town. Too bad they missed the real target.

"Local response teams got to take part in a simulated biological attack in Idaho Falls Friday (28-Oct) with the Idaho and Montana National Guard. You may think a terrorist attack in Idaho Falls is not very likely, but first responders are preparing for one if it does happen."
